When summers were hot and it always snowed at Christmas! Do you remember your childhood sweet shop with a bell on the door, a warm sweet aroma as you pushed the door open to a little world full of sweets? Old fashioned sweets like Rhubarb & Custard, Kola Cubes, Bull’s Eyes & Pontefract Cakes. Old fashioned toffees like Chewing Nuts and Treacle Dabs, and the shelf in the corner groaning under the weight of all those sweets they sold in the school tuck shop, Double Dips, Candy Lipsticks, Sherbet Fountains & Liquorice Wands.

Well, we remember too, that’s why we created ‘The Sweet Shop’ re-kindling memories of childhood sweets long believed to be non-existent. Our small Victorian fronted sweet shop is set right in the centre of the picturesque Cheshire village of Lymm. Established in 2007 and family run, you’ll always find a genuinely warm and caring welcome in surroundings reminiscent of a by-gone era where the pace of life is more gentle.

With over 260 jars of sweets, tuck-shop classics, sumptuous ranges of indulgent and gift chocolate, crumbly fudge and ice-cream made on the farm in Dunham Massey, you’ll be spoilt for choice. We take great care to make sure our sweets are of the highest quality and are the best makes available so if you choose Kola Cubes, you can be assured that they are the originals with the chewy centre!

If you choose to order your sweets on-line your order will be weighed out and prepared in the shop as if you’d come in personally. If you do choose to call in and see us why not spend the day in and around Lymm with its pretty village centre just a short walk through the dingle from Lymm Dam.
