What could be more exciting on a Saturday, having saved your pocket money, than a visit to The Sweet Shop? It was one of the simple things in life, yet filled with pleasure and our own childhood memories inspired us to create our very own Sweet Shop!
It is so important that every visitor has a truly authentic experience re-kindling memories of their favourite sweets, that we took great care to make sure the shop looked as you´d expect a traditional sweet shop to look, from the black and gold Victorian front to the dark mahogany shelves groaning under the weight of over 260 jars full of scrumptious sweets. In the shop all of our sweet jars are weighed & priced in metric and imperial equivalents, so if you visit the shop in person, no matter what era you're from you can ask for your sweets in the way that comes naturally to you! "Aquarter of Winter Nips please".
We've also made sure that our sweets are traditional sweets, sourcing only the best makes like Pascall's, Stockley's, Gray's, Barnett's, Trebor Bassett and many more including a large range of reduced sugar & sugar free confectionery. You can also be assured that the 'Penny' lives at The Sweet Shop in the form of Cola Bottles and Jelly Teddies etc, but, if you are looking for a special sweet or chocolate gift we can take care of that too with fantastic ranges of Chocolate, Toffee, Fudge and novelty sweets all year round and particularly tempting at Christmas, Easter & Halloween!
It's not just about re-kindling old memories though, it's about creating new ones too. Our 'tuck-shop' range will certainly leave imprinted in your memory, the weird and wonderful sweets of today like 'Brain Lickers', 'Toxic Waste', 'Gum Powder', 'Weirds' and 'Snot Shots'! Very popular despite the names!
